Thrust ball bearings are designed to withstand thrust loads at high speeds and consist of gasket rings with ball rolling raceway grooves. Because the rings are cushions, thrust ball bearings are divided into two types: flat bottom cushion type and center adjusting spherical cushion type. There are two key points in the thrust ball bearing assembly. If the inner diameter of the seat ring has obvious quenching and heating oxidation color or no grinding, it is not necessary to test the diameter of the inner diameter, and can clearly see the difference between the ring and the seat ring, and it is not easy to mix. After assembling the thrust ball bearing, the nominal height T should be measured to confirm whether it is qualified. When measuring, use height blocks or standard parts to calibrate and measure loads. The bearing needs to be rotated for dozens of times, and the minimum height must be reached.
 
When the thrust ball bearings operate under high speed conditions, the contact angle of the radial plane of the ball and the raceway will be influenced by the centrifugal force, thus causing the sliding of the relative raceway of the ball. The adhesive wear caused by this sliding will damage the bearing. To prevent this damage, we must ensure the minimum load borne by the thrust ball shaft, see Formula 1 or formula 2, take the larger value of the calculated value.

Unidirectional thrust ball bearings can only bear one direction of load. If we bear the load in two directions, we must choose two way thrust ball bearings. Thrust ball bearings must be subjected to minimum load or preload. When the axle is vertical, the weight of the shaft usually exceeds the minimum load. At this time, due to the influence of axial external load in opposite direction, the load of this action may decrease.
